THERE'S a heated debate raging over on Facebook - and it's all thanks to a pair of boots and a black skirt.
People are arguing over whether the combination is appropriate for work, with the comments showcasing a huge range of opinions.
The conversation began earlier this week, when New Zealand-based radio show hosts Stace and Flynny posted a stock image of a model in workwear.
They added the caption: "We’re discussing this on our show today... do you think this outfit is appropriate for a workplace?"
The picture shows the woman in a high-waisted black skirt, which reaches to a little below her bum.
It's been paired with statement thigh-high boots, featuring tassels, studs and chunky heels.
Many didn't have a problem with the idea of the get-up being worn in an office.
One response read: "Yes. Because ladies/girls should be able to wear what they want whenever they want without being judged.
"Same for men."
Another said: "Yes! Men are allowed to wear what they like to work so why can’t women.
"As long as all are presentable in their roles there is no problem.
"If the only problem is what a person is wearing, then what is there to complain about?"
Others weren't quite so positive.
Less open-minded messages included: "Looks a little Pretty Woman to me," and: "Yes, if you're prepared for goggle eyes."
A few people pointed out that this was a fairly common look a few decades ago.
They said the only thing to consider would be the the practicalities of the outfit, with one writing: "Sure if you feel good (might be problem if you have to stretch or lift things).
"This was the norm in the 70s."
Hmm. It sounds like the jury's out here.
